Overview of your Sounio tour

Starting from Athens you will enjoy a scenic drive all the way to Cape Sounio and the Temple of Poseidon. You’ll be dazzled by the famous landscape that surrounds the promontory of the Sounion. In the times of the ancient Greeks, this site was revered as sacred ground dedicated to the gods Poseidon and Athena. On our way a stop to Vouliagmeni Lake couldn’t be missing. You will admire the view and have time for photo-shooting at this unique lake of Athens. Next, marvel at the Temple of Poseidon perched upon the cliff’s edge 70 meters above the sea. Walk the blessed earth of the Sounion, one of the places sung about it in Homer’s Odyssey, and stand on the same cliff where it is said King Aegeus threw himself off. Experience the famous sunset from the Temple, get amazing photos and admire the sun reflexion hiding in Aegean sea waters.

Your Sounio tour itinerary

– Once I pick you up from your location, we’ll drive all the South-West coast of Attica to Cape Sounio(90 minutes drive)

– Next, we’ll head to Vouliagmeni Lake for a 10 minute visit.

– Afterwards, we’ll make a 40 minutes stop at the Temple of Poseidon where you will visit and ancient site and experience the unique sunset

– After that we will enjoy lunch in a local fish-restaurant with amazing Greek cuisine. – In the end, we’ll drive back to the appropriate drop-off location.
